Cashew Nut and Cacao Milk

Both cashew nuts and cocoa powder are a very rich source of magnesium. A single serving of this milk provides nearly half of the adult RDA.

Ingredients

plain cashew nuts  (75g)
water (400ml)
2 tbsp raw cacao powder or cocoa powder  (30g)
1 tbsp honey  (24g)
1/2 vanilla pod
Pinch of sea salt

Method

  1. Soak cashews in water for 3 hours or overnight.
  2. Drain cashews and add to the blender with water.
  3. Add remaining ingredients and blend for a minute on high or until completely smooth. You may want to add a little more honey for sweetness.
  4. Chill for one hour before serving.
