Fruit Plate with Toasted Almonds

Ingredients

Flaked almonds   (50g)
1 large navel orange, peeled, pith removed and cut into thin slices  (210g)
1 large grapefruit, peeled, pith removed and cut into slices  (425g)
2 large banana, peeled and sliced  (240g)

Method

  1. Place the almonds in a small frying pan and cook until golden brown over a low heat, moving them around from time to time and watching they donÕt burn.
  2. Put the orange and grapefruit into a small bowl with any fruit juices that have leaked out.
  3. Arrange all the citrus fruits on a dessert plate in alternative slices, place the banana in the centre before sprinkling over the toasted almonds and serve.
